Online Individual Analysis

Individual sessions for adults — NO POKER FACE!

An ethical, confidential, and WELCOMING space to think through what isn't working, what hurts or isn't easy to "accept" or get over, despite your support network and the skills and resources that have already been useful in your personal history (education, activism, art, spirituality, health care, finances, focus, willpower, meditation, exercise, etc.)

Goals: to co-build understandings of needs, resources, interpretations, and the specific effects of victimizing situations in a way that generates something new and creates new, more informed choices; and to break the taboo of the all-powerful individual who feels guilty for "not being able to cope."

A little about me

I’m Juliana, a psychoanalyst with a degree in Psychology from the University of Antioquia (UdeA) in Colombia. I have experience in the judicial system in Colombia, in psychotherapy practice in Brazil, and in intercultural language and culture teaching with international audiences (Brazil, Finland, and globally).

I hold a Master’s degree in Peace Studies, Mediation, and Conflict Research from Åbo Akademi University in Finland. I am also a permanent trainee in psychoanalysis. Schizoanalysis and decoloniality ground my clinical work. In my practice, I explore the effects of systemic violence on mental health, with the assistance of individual self-knowledge brought by each patient. The idea is to co-construct understandings of needs, available resources, and informed choices—challenging the taboo of the all-powerful individual, ever guilty for “not coping.”

I work as a clinical psychoanalyst with adults and offer sessions in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
